In Canada, we had our holiday last weekend so it’s now (un)officially Summer here.

not my thing.. A lot of readers asked me why I didn’t just go ahead and paint my cabinets.Well, now I am just about ready to get to the project and I CAN’T WAIT!.

at the time we had some more pressing projects that needed to be finished first..Projects like baby Jack’s nursery!.…because it looked like this:.

You can read more about that crazy adventure of a renovation here!.

In other bedroom news, our master bedroom looked like this for the first 2 years that we lived here and it made me absolutely crazy.. Today it looks like this!.I grabbed the lavender to use for this project, so that’s what’s in the picture, but when I opened the bottled I discovered it was empty!

So I used lemon instead.🙂 My kitchen, and the hair brush, both ended up smelling amazing.. Leave the brush to soak for about 30 minutes.

When the time’s up, you’ll see that all the gunk and debris from the brush has loosened up considerably and a lot of it will have actually fallen out into the water.. Take a regular, old-fashioned comb and start using it to lift out all of the hair, lint, and whatnot from the brush.I bought a two-pack of these combs that I use just for cleaning brushes for about $1.50 I think.. Look at all that lint coming out!.
